I limited the colour range for this portrait, using only black, white and grey, and variations of orange and brown. Similar to Whistler’s portrait of his mother. Which is actually called ‘Arrangement in Grey and Black number one’. It’s a simple portrait showing the sitter in a quiet, contemplative mood, seated in a wicker chair.
