One of my Art History paintings. In these I insert a remembered image from my art history lectures as a student at Art School into an observed landscape. I like to have a little fun with the image by putting it outside the frame which surrounds the painting. In this case it’s a painting of Devil’s Dyke, which is in a beautiful area of the East Sussex Downs. The ‘Little Girl Blue’ is stolen from Picasso. He said, “Good artists copy; Great artists steal.”
