This is the view from the balcony at the back of the place we lived in Cambridge on my sabbatical from Sir Sandford Flemming College in Peterborough Ontario. We rented the flat from Peterhouse College. It was right across the road from the Fitzwilliam Museum. An excellent location. The first winter we were there it snowed and I painted this view view of the quad where the children played. Instead of painting every brick of the houses and walls around the quad I painted every snowflake.
