Description
One of the remaining pieces produced as a commission of the Cambridgeshire Hunt. I had pleasure here experimenting with the composition. For example placing the horizon on the golden mean division of the vertical of the painting, placing the red-coated master on the golden mean of the horizontal of the painting, and placing the horses rump on the crossing point of the two diagonals from the corners of the painting. I also wanted to show the wonderful lace-like patterns of the branches of the leafless trees. They make the East Anglian countryside quite beautiful in the winter.
