Description
If the sun is shining, which it does occassionally in Cambridge, and you happen to be in Portugal Place, you will see exactly this view of this 16th Century house. Rather like Italian Sunlight this almost painted itself. The view through the lower window to the back of the house removes the feeling of being hemmed in by the building and I have brought the sky into the painting by introducing the pale blue reflection in the upper left window.
